Bio Oil 200ml is a specialist skin care product that is recommended to help improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone. It is also recommended for ageing and dehydrated skin. It contains the breakthrough ingredient PurCellin Oil which reduces the thicknes of the formulation. This makes Bio Oil easily absorbed and helps ensure the targeted delivery of its key ingredients: Vitamins A and E, and the natural plant oils Calendula, Lavender, Rosemary and Chamomile.
Bio Oil 200ml is easily absorbed and non-greasy. It is hypoallergenic, contains no preservatives and is suitable for all skin types. It is formulated for use on the face and body, and has a number of benefits:
- Bio-Oil helps to reduce the appearance of all scars (both new and old) by improving the condition of skin with scar tissue.
- Bio-Oil helps alleviate the discomfort frequently associated with scars, such as tightness and itchiness, as well as relieving the dryness.
- Bio-Oil helps keep the skin as elastic as possible, thereby helping to prevent stretch marks from developing during periods of rapid change in body size such as pregnancy, adolescence and weight loss.
- Bio-Oil also helps reduce the appearance of existing stretch marks.
- On uneven skin tone Bio-Oil helps to reduce the apearance of uneven skin tone and promote an even skin tone. Bio-Oil help to smooth, firm and nourish ageing and wrinkled skin.

In April 2002, Union-Swiss commissioned Ayton-Moon, a UK-based product testing consultancy, to conduct an independent user trial on the efficacy of Bio-Oil on the appearance of scars. 82 participants of all ages participated in the 4-week trial, which was conducted from 1 April to 7 May 2002. The participants applied Bio-Oil to the scarred area 3 times daily, massaging in a circular motion until fully absorbed. Improvement by age and condition were recorded as shown above.

How to use Bio Oil 200ml:
For Scars:Apply Bio Oil to the scar twice daily, massaging gently with the fingertips in a circular motion until fully absorbed. Use for a minimum of 3 months.
Stretch Marks:Massage Bio Oil twice daily into the areas most susceptible to stretch marks. To help improve the appearance of existing stretch marks, apply Bio Oil twice daily, massaging with the fingertips in a circular motion until fully absorbed.
Uneven Skin Tone:Apply Bio Oil twice daily, massaging gently with the fingertips in a circular motion until fully absorbed. Use for a minimum of 3 months.
Ageing Skin:Apply Bio Oil twice daily, massaging gently with the fingertips in a circular motion until fully absorbed. Use for a minimum of 3 months.
Dehydrated Skin:Apply Bio Oil after bathing, showering, sun-tanning or swimming. Massage gently into the skin, paying particular attention to dry or chapped areas. Bio Oil is also ideal as a bath oil.
Bio Oil 200ml Contains:
Paraffinum Liquidum, Triisononanoin, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Isopropyl Myristate, Retintyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Anthemis Nobilis Oil (Chamomile Oil), Lavender Oil, Rosemary Oil, Calendula Oil, Helianthus Annus Seed Oil, Glycine Soja Oil, BHT, Biabolol, Parfum, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Salicylate, Citronellol, Coumarin, Eugenol, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Hydroxyisohexyl 3 Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Limonene, Linalool, Alpha – Isomethyl Ionone, CI 26100. Contains no preservatives.

Bought this on recommendations of the reviews. Have very mild stretch marks around belly button after 3 consecutive pregnancies. I have been using now for 4 months, twice daily and have NOT noticed any difference. Upon application it doe give a smooth surface but once oil has absorbed it is back to its normal appearance. Great for a temporary fix ie if you are going by the pool. This is definately a temporary fix and does not take stretchmarks long term. ..

This product really works!
I broke my ankle in 3 places back in January and had two scars - one particularly large and ugly.
My skin also felt very tight and sore.
I went to Morrisons pharmacy and they showed me Bio Oil but it was so expensive. I found it online, ordered it at a brilliant price.It arrived by return. I have used it now for a month and the scars are fading and skin is much more comfortable. Cannot reccommend too highly.

I love this product. I have been using it for nearly 20 years, since my first pregnancy to prevent stretch marks and found it's great for preventing outbreaks of eczema and dermatitis. I used it on chicken pox marks on the kids and to prevent scarring from childhood injuries too. It is a light oil that takes very little time to be absorbed so it hardly slows me down at all when I'm getting ready!

Darker skin tone enhances the appearance of scars and keloids. Nothing has been helping me much, until I found an advertisement in a magazine in California for Bio Oil. I was worried that it would give me a shiny face, but after a few minutes, the oil absorbs in well into the skin. I started using this product and it has slowly but steadily helped fade the stretch marks, darkness around the nape of the neck, as well as ancient acne scars from my teenage years!! I bought Bio Oil last year following a TV advertisement I had seen. I was so intrigued by it's claims to work on stretch marks, even out skin tone and absorb easily into the skin that I bought it just to prove to myself that it was yet another product designed to con people into thinking that it was some sort of miracle cure. A year later whilst I still believe it is no miracle cure, I have noticed a marked improvement in the tone and softness of my skin. It also does absorb easily into the skin and leaves no oily residue to the touch.I now feel positively undressed if I don't use it as part of my grooming process. It has indeed evened out skin tone, reduced the appearance of stretch marks and the best bit is that my skin is softer now than it has ever been. It took approx a three weeks before I noticed the difference so if your expecting immediate results, you should probably try something else. I have difficult skin and dehydrated skin. Bio Oil has had a very nice hydrating impact on my body. My decolletage and legs get particularly dry and Bio Oil has drastically improved the overall look of these areas. I had to stop using it on my face and neck as I did react with blotches and soreness but I do react to most face & neck products on the market so this is not a negative against Bio Oil. My body did initially break out in random spots but this disappeared after the first month and I am glad I stuck with it. I feel more moisturised and soft than I have for a long time. ..

This is a miracle oil for extremely dry skin. After recent surgery I had a very bad problem with dry flaky skin which did not respond to intensive creams/body butters or lotions. Three applications of Bio Oil did the trick - would definitely recommend for dry skin. ..
